Description:

We’re looking for an Architect Trainee who’s excited to turn ideas into spaces — no experience needed, just creativity, spatial thinking, and a passion for design. You’ll work alongside architects on real projects, assisting with initial concepts, spatial layouts, and technical plans. We’ll teach you how to translate vision into visuals — from bubble diagrams to digital renders and physical models. You’ll work closely with senior architects to understand how every line on a plan has meaning, function, and consequence. Expect to use tools like Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe InDesign to present and develop your work. Expect to sit in on design reviews and learn how architects respond to real feedback from clients, engineers, and users. We’ll guide you through the basics of model-making, detailing, and material selection. You’ll explore how light, form, and circulation impact human experience within the built environment. You’ll also sit in on client consultations to understand how architects balance vision, budget, and regulations.

Basic Qualifications:

• Track hours, billing, and project milestones if managing multiple jobs.
• Create detailed blueprints, models, and renderings using CAD software like AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp.
• Reflect on past designs to improve future work—every project is a teacher.
• Adapt plans when unexpected challenges arise—soil issues, zoning limits, or client changes.
• Balance beauty and practicality—your designs should inspire, but also get built.

Preferred:

• Wants to grow into roles like Lead Architect, Design Director, or Urban Strategist.
• Willing to take part in design competitions, exhibitions, or research-based initiatives.
• Experienced in producing detailed floor plans, elevations, sections, and architectural details.
• Capable of conducting site visits, taking measurements, and collaborating with engineers and contractors.
• Values innovation, technical rigor, and user experience in built environments.
