Description:

We’re looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Game Tester to join our team and help improve the quality of our games. You’ll be responsible for testing game features, gameplay mechanics, and other elements to identify issues that affect player experience. You’ll work closely with the development team to document and report any technical issues, ensuring they are fixed before release. You’ll collaborate closely with the development team to report and track bugs, assisting in troubleshooting and prioritizing fixes. You’ll assist in creating test plans, test cases, and scripts to ensure the game functions as intended in all scenarios. You’ll be tasked with testing game functionality under different conditions, such as various screen sizes, resolutions, and network speeds. You’ll ensure that all reported bugs are documented clearly, including steps to reproduce, screenshots, and other relevant information. You’ll ensure the game’s performance is up to standard, testing for crashes, slowdowns, or any performance issues across different systems.

Basic Qualifications:

• Perform regression testing after patches or updates to ensure old bugs haven’t returned and new ones haven’t been introduced.
• Be patient and persistent—some bugs are rare and require repetition or creativity to uncover.
• Test for gameplay balance, difficulty scaling, collision errors, and game-breaking bugs that impact user experience.
• Participate in daily stand-ups or QA syncs to share findings, updates, and blockers with the wider team.
• Follow confidentiality agreements and handle unreleased content securely, especially for AAA or NDA-bound titles.

Preferred:

• Understands basic testing terminology like test cases, repro steps, and bug severity.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to spot bugs, glitches, and inconsistencies during gameplay.
• Willing to test the same scenario repeatedly to confirm bug fixes and consistency.
• Thrives in a collaborative, detail-driven, and deadline-oriented environment.
• Wants to grow into roles like QA Analyst, Game Designer, or QA Lead.

You’ll participate in daily stand-ups, providing updates on your findings and offering input on how to improve the testing process.
