Description:

We’re hiring a Locksmith to help people regain access, feel secure, and upgrade their lock systems — perfect for someone who’s precise, calm under pressure, and enjoys hands-on problem-solving. You’ll respond to car lockouts, lost key scenarios, broken ignitions, and remote reprogramming requests across a variety of vehicle makes and models. You’ll remove old hardware, prepare doors and frames, and ensure seamless installation of new digital access products. You’ll help customers regain entry when locked out, always verifying identity and following safety protocols before proceeding. You’ll extract broken keys from ignitions and doors, replace cylinders, and repair switch assemblies as needed. You’ll rotate on-call shifts — including nights, weekends, and holidays — to provide 24/7 availability to clients in need. You’ll help respond to emergency lockouts or malfunctions that disrupt business operations, sometimes after-hours or on weekends. You’ll be trained in fast-entry techniques, crisis de-escalation, and how to navigate high-stress environments like break-ins or domestic disputes. You’ll rotate between emergency calls, dealership support, and scheduled rekeys or upgrades throughout your shift.

Basic Qualifications:

• Maintain detailed service records, invoices, and logs of key codes or lock types when required.
• Perform maintenance checks on high-traffic entry systems in offices or apartment buildings.
• Ensure replacement parts and materials meet durability and safety expectations.
• Take pride in securing spaces and giving people peace of mind, one lock at a time.
• Track inventory of parts like lock cylinders, pins, keys, and electronic components.

Preferred:

• Able to install or service door closers, panic bars, master key systems, and high-security lock systems.
• Pays close attention to cleanliness, professionalism, and worksite safety during every job.
• Knowledge of safe opening techniques, combination resets, and non-destructive entry methods.
• Comfortable working from a mobile locksmith van or in a shop setting depending on client needs.
• Values integrity, patience, and problem-solving in helping clients secure their property.

You’ll keep your vehicle fully stocked with lock cylinders, tools, safety gear, and temporary hardware for after-hours repairs. You’ll coordinate with IT or security vendors when working on smart locks or network-connected entry systems. You’ll help educate clients on stronger lock options, safety tips, and how to avoid future emergencies. You’ll receive support from a central operations team that helps with routing, call screening, and technical support if needed. You’ll assist in system resets, code recoveries, and lockouts caused by user error or app malfunctions. You’ll work mostly during the day with optional weekend or evening calls depending on demand. No prior locksmith experience required — just mechanical aptitude, a valid driver’s license, and the willingness to learn a high-demand skill.
