Description:

We’re hiring a Security System Installer Trainee who’s excited about smart homes, automation, and making technology work for safety. You’ll learn how to install, wire, and configure security systems like cameras, motion detectors, and alarms step by step. We’ll start you with the basics: how to use tools safely, run cable through walls, and follow installation diagrams. You’ll learn how to drill with precision, mount devices neatly, and run wires where they’ll never be noticed but always matter. We’ll show you how to handle drills, ladders, testers, and other tools with care and precision. You’ll quickly get familiar with ladders, cordless drills, testers, crimpers, and labelers — all tools of the trade. You’ll also assist with connecting systems to Wi-Fi, testing zones, and making sure clients know how to use their systems. You’ll learn how to think ahead, avoid mistakes, and double-check everything — because trust is built in the details. Each day will build your technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and confidence working with your hands.

Basic Qualifications:

• Explain to customers how to use their new systems in simple, clear language.
• Ensure every system is installed to prevent blind spots or weak points.
• Train users on mobile apps and remote monitoring features.
• Provide maintenance and upgrades when systems need a refresh or add-ons.
• Work with team members or independently, depending on the job size.

Preferred:

• Able to troubleshoot and repair faulty hardware or signal issues during or after installation.
• Comfortable working at heights, in attics, basements, or confined spaces when routing cables.
• Pays close attention to detail to ensure all components are correctly positioned and functioning.
• Organized with tracking tools, parts inventory, and job completion logs.
• Background or interest in electronics, security technology, low-voltage systems, or IT networking.
