Description:

We’re hiring a Security Guard Trainee for a residential complex — ideal for someone who’s polite, observant, and ready to keep tenants feeling safe and supported around the clock. You’ll begin by shadowing experienced guards to understand patrol routes, entry procedures, and incident response protocols. You’ll be trained to monitor crowds, identify suspicious behavior, and respond calmly to incidents without escalating tension. You’ll assist in checking security cameras, reporting maintenance issues, and helping prevent theft or vandalism. You’ll help conduct quiet patrols through parking areas, hallways, stairwells, and shared amenities like gyms or laundry rooms. You’ll receive instruction on how to handle alarms, respond to system alerts, and reset panels when needed. You’ll assist in reuniting lost guests with their groups and managing minor disputes or confusion in the crowd. You’ll support emergency response procedures, including evacuations, fire protocols, or calling authorities if necessary. You’ll wear a clean, visible uniform and carry communication tools like a radio or flashlight during all patrols.

Basic Qualifications:

• Provide basic first aid or CPR if certified and required in emergency situations.
• Manage access logs, key control systems, or badge distribution as part of your duties.
• Treat all individuals with respect while upholding rules and regulations without bias.
• Use radios or mobile devices to stay in contact with other guards or supervisors.
• Deter theft, vandalism, or unsafe behavior through a visible and professional presence.

Preferred:

• Comfortable writing shift reports, incident logs, and communicating clearly with supervisors or emergency services.
• Enjoys helping people feel safe and ensuring order in dynamic environments.
• Wants to grow into roles like Shift Supervisor, Site Coordinator, or Security Operations Manager.
• Experience monitoring entrances, patrolling premises, or observing surveillance systems in commercial, residential, or public areas.
• Comfortable working at night, on weekends, or during holidays depending on the assigned shift.
