Description:

We’re hiring a Factory Operator to support operations in our metal processing facility — ideal for someone who’s strong, focused, and committed to safety in an industrial environment. You’ll oversee computerized equipment from setup to shutdown, ensuring every stage runs smoothly and according to specification. You’ll assist in loading raw metal stock, adjusting machine settings, and aligning materials for accurate processing. You’ll assist in labeling, sealing, and boxing finished goods for shipment while maintaining consistency and speed. You’ll help handle sheet metal, rods, bars, or castings using forklifts, cranes, or hand tools depending on product type. You’ll inspect finished products for consistency, labeling, weight, and packaging before they move to the next stage. You’ll inspect finished parts for surface quality, structural integrity, and adherence to specifications. You’ll help detect mechanical issues early by listening for irregular sounds, monitoring screen alerts, or noticing workflow disruptions. You’ll coordinate with maintenance teams to assist during breakdowns or scheduled equipment service.

Basic Qualifications:

• Perform basic machine maintenance such as cleaning, lubricating, or changing parts.
• Work on repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and consistency throughout long shifts.
• Be flexible with rotating shifts, overtime, or weekend work during peak production periods.
• Monitor machines during operation to detect malfunctions or inconsistencies in product quality.
• Stay organized and detail-oriented to prevent errors or waste during operation.

Preferred:

• Organized in keeping production logs, inventory counts, and daily output records up to date.
• Familiar with packaging, labeling, and preparing finished goods for shipping or storage.
• Understands and follows safety protocols including lockout/tagout procedures and proper PPE usage.
• Comfortable handling raw materials, loading/unloading equipment, and performing quality checks.
• Values discipline, consistency, and safety in a structured production environment.

You’ll help resolve minor mechanical jams and notify maintenance teams of any equipment concerns. You’ll stay alert to temperature, weight, and time targets to ensure food quality and freshness. You’ll help maintain production flow during weekends or holidays if scheduled, receiving proper shift differentials when applicable. You’ll attend regular safety briefings, team huddles, and training updates to stay aligned with operational standards. You’ll work as part of a disciplined team where timing, accuracy, and communication are essential. You’ll be expected to stay on your feet for long periods, lift moderate loads, and stay focused in a noisy, fast-paced environment.
