Description:
We’re hiring an Entry-Level Auto Mechanic who may not have all the experience yet, but brings the mindset, motivation, and hands-on curiosity to grow into a great one. You’ll work under the guidance of experienced technicians, learning everything from oil changes to diagnostics — with time, tools, and real mentorship. You’ll start with the basics: checking fluid levels, replacing filters, rotating tires, and understanding how the systems of a car connect and depend on each other. You’ll train directly in the bay, side by side with experienced technicians who’ll guide you from oil changes to complex diagnostics over time. You’ll learn how to listen to a vehicle, identify symptoms, and think like a technician — not just follow steps, but understand the “why. You’ll be shown how to use diagnostic scanners, multimeters, and manual methods — not just push buttons, but understand what the numbers mean. You’ll practice writing clear notes, communicating with the front desk, and asking for help when something doesn’t look or sound right. You’ll work on real customer cars and be trusted to assist with real repairs — knowing you’ve got backup when you need it. You’ll be encouraged to ask questions, make mistakes (safely), and learn the difference between guessing and diagnosing.
Basic Qualifications:
- Test drive vehicles before and after service to confirm repairs and ensure proper function and performance.
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized in compliance with OSHA and shop safety protocols.
- Perform emissions testing, alignments, tire mounting/balancing, and AC system recharges using proper equipment.
- Monitor for recurring issues or recall-related problems and notify customers or service writers accordingly.
- Work in coordination with other technicians, painters, body shop staff, or tow drivers depending on the repair scope.
Preferred:
- Background or training in automotive repair, technical school, or certified apprenticeship.
- Able to perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks accurately.
- Open to learning new diagnostic tools and repair procedures as technology evolves.
- Comfortable working on both gas and diesel engines; hybrid or EV experience is a bonus.
- Able to communicate clearly with customers or service advisors about findings and estimates.
Benefits:
- No more “just a job” — mechanics here are the unsung heroes of the road.
- Employee referral bonuses — if you know a great mechanic, bring them on.
- Flexible hours — work with us to find a schedule that suits your life.
- Work with a crew that knows how to have fun — mechanic humor is a real thing.
- Variety in work — from routine repairs to high-performance builds, keep it interesting.
You’ll stay current with new systems, electronics, and drivetrains — because cars evolve and so should we. You’ll help test-drive, double-check torque specs, and make sure no vehicle leaves without a confident “it’s ready. You’ll earn respect by doing things right, cleaning up after yourself, checking torque specs, and not being afraid to say “I’m not sure — can you show me? ” You’ll be part of a team that’s proud to teach — because many of us also started in other industries before we found our way to the shop floor. You’ll receive regular feedback and ongoing support as you grow — because no one becomes a real tech alone. You’ll finish this program with real hands-on experience, a team behind you, and a clear path forward — not just a paycheck. You’ll be part of a shop that’s not just “open to women,” but actively building a future where more women run the floor, own their bay, and train the next ones coming up. If you’re ready to build something real with your hands — and want more than just “a job” — we’re ready to teach you a trade that lasts a lifetime.
