Description:

We’re looking for a Cashier who’s ready to start their journey in retail — no prior experience required, just a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a friendly approach to every customer interaction. You’ll process purchases accurately, handle different payment types, and ensure every customer feels acknowledged and respected. You’ll greet shoppers, answer quick questions, and direct them to team members or departments when needed. You’ll keep your workspace clean, your drawer balanced, and your attention sharp from open to close. You’ll assist with bagging items, answering product questions, and helping direct customers if they need support in other departments. You’ll help restock front-of-store merchandise and maintain tidy, inviting checkout lanes. You’ll be part of a supportive team where asking questions is encouraged and helping each other is part of the daily routine. You’ll participate in daily team huddles, share observations, and help create a collaborative, helpful environment. You’ll offer loyalty programs or promotions in a natural, helpful way — never robotic or pushy.

Basic Qualifications:

• Call for supervisor assistance when larger issues or overrides are needed.
• Thank every customer genuinely—it’s the last impression before they leave.
• Communicate clearly with supervisors if issues or unusual transactions arise.
• Provide correct change and issue receipts with a smile and clear communication.
• Stay calm and polite when customers are frustrated, even if it’s not your fault.

Preferred:

• Enjoys interacting with people and helping them leave with a positive experience.
• Able to remain calm and courteous during peak hours, long lines, or customer complaints.
• Background or interest in retail, hospitality, food service, or customer-facing roles.
• Values honesty, reliability, and consistency in every transaction.
• Willing to help with restocking near registers, merchandising impulse buys, or monitoring front-end cleanliness.
