You’ll be the trusted voice behind the counter — answering questions, easing concerns, and making sure every medication is right for every person. You’ll check prescriptions with laser focus — spotting errors, catching interactions, and asking the questions others don’t. You’ll verify prescriptions with care, catch potential interactions, and make decisions that protect lives, quietly and consistently. You’ll collaborate with doctors, nurses, and caregivers — forming a bridge between treatment plans and real-life use. You’ll counsel patients with empathy, explaining dosages, timing, and side effects in language they truly understand. You’ll stay calm under pressure, especially when things get busy or a patient needs urgent care. You’ll stay on top of new medications and treatment guidelines, because healthcare never stops evolving — and neither do you. You’ll bring calm to chaos and clarity to confusion, whether it’s a new prescription or an urgent refill at closing time.

Basic Qualifications:

• Adjust workflows to accommodate special populations like pediatric, geriatric, or immunocompromised patients.
• Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards when handling patient information or sensitive medication records.
• Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, insurers, and other pharmacists to deliver safe, patient-centered care.
• Verify insurance coverage, process claims, and support patients in understanding co-pays, prior authorizations, or formulary changes.
• Review prescriptions for completeness, legality, and accuracy—contacting physicians when clarification or substitutions are needed.

Preferred:

• Thrives in detail-focused, ethical, and team-driven healthcare settings.
• Capable of managing inventory, ordering medications, and minimizing waste or stockouts.
• Knowledgeable about insurance processes, billing codes, and prior authorizations.
• Experienced in compounding or preparing specialized medications when necessary.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing prescriptions for errors, allergies, or dosage issues.
