Description:

We’re hiring Phlebotomist Trainees — no experience required, just steady hands, a calm voice, and a genuine desire to help people. You’ll help collect blood from volunteer donors — the people who show up to save lives with nothing more than their time and compassion. We’ll teach you the proper techniques step by step: vein selection, needle handling, labeling, and safety protocols. You’ll learn to draw blood using proper technique, maintain sterile procedures, and monitor donors for reactions or discomfort. Every child is different — some cry, some freeze, some ask questions — and you’ll learn how to respond with patience and care. Patients may be elderly, homebound, or managing chronic conditions — your ability to explain, reassure, and respect their space is just as important as your technique. Donors may be first-timers, regulars, or nervous visitors — and you’ll learn how to adapt to each interaction with professionalism and kindness. We’ll train you in infection control, time management, and what to do when things don’t go as planned — like hard-to-find veins or unexpected situations. You’ll develop a quiet confidence: how to knock, introduce yourself, set the tone, and get the job done with care and calm.

Basic Qualifications:

• Deliver collected samples to the lab promptly and handle with care.
• Communicate clearly if there’s a delay, issue, or retesting requirement.
• Follow all safety and hygiene protocols to protect both yourself and the patient.
• Use electronic health records (EHR) systems to update patient info and order statuses.
• Work closely with nurses, lab techs, and doctors to support diagnostics.

Preferred:

• Thrives in structured, procedural environments where safety and consistency matter.
• Enjoys working hands-on and supporting diagnostic teams through accurate specimen collection.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with high patient volumes and time-sensitive samples.
• Wants to grow into roles like Lab Technician, Medical Assistant, or Clinical Lab Specialist.
• Able to calm anxious patients and explain procedures in a reassuring, professional manner.
