Description:

We’re looking for a skilled and creative Video Editor to join our remote team and help produce visually stunning content. You’ll be responsible for editing raw footage into compelling videos that align with the brand’s message and goals. You’ll collaborate with the content team to understand project requirements and bring their vision to life through high-quality video production. You’ll be responsible for editing raw footage into polished, engaging videos that align with the brand’s tone and style. You’ll be involved in every step of the video production process, from storyboarding to final edits and renderings. You’ll help incorporate music, sound effects, voiceovers, and graphics to enhance the quality of the video and the viewer’s experience. You’ll add motion graphics, transitions, and text overlays to create visually compelling videos that capture the audience’s attention. You’ll use video editing software like Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Final Cut Pro to deliver high-quality results.

Basic Qualifications:

• Adapt your editing style to suit different clients—clean and corporate vs. bold and Gen Z, depending on the brief.
• Edit short- and long-form content with equal skill, adapting storytelling for different formats and attention spans.
• Troubleshoot technical issues calmly—software bugs, render failures, or syncing problems are part of the job.
• Optimize file size and quality for different platforms and delivery methods without sacrificing fidelity.
• Label timelines, sequences, and assets clearly so projects are easy to hand off or revisit.

Preferred:

• Enjoys telling stories through visuals and crafting emotionally resonant edits.
• Able to take initiative and suggest creative improvements to enhance video impact.
• Able to work with motion graphics, templates, or basic animation (e.g., After Effects).
• Knows how to compress and export videos for optimal quality and speed.
• Familiar with adding royalty-free music, sound effects, and voiceovers where needed.

You’ll track and analyze video performance across platforms, offering insights and suggestions for improving future videos.
