Description:
We’re hiring Auto Mechanic Trainees who are ready to start over — whether you’re coming from retail, construction, IT, or a desk job you were never passionate about. You’ll work under the guidance of experienced technicians, learning everything from oil changes to diagnostics — with time, tools, and real mentorship. You’ll start with the basics: checking fluid levels, replacing filters, rotating tires, and understanding how the systems of a car connect and depend on each other. You’ll be trained by experienced techs who don’t care what you look like — they care how you torque a bolt, run diagnostics, and ask the right questions. You’ll inspect vehicles thoroughly, explain findings honestly, and never guess when safety is on the line. You’ll be shown how to use diagnostic scanners, multimeters, and manual methods — not just push buttons, but understand what the numbers mean. You’ll get introduced to scan tools, wiring diagrams, and step-by-step troubleshooting — always with support, never alone. You’ll work on real vehicles, touch real engines, and be part of real repairs — with supervision, feedback, and support every day. You’ll work on real cars for real customers, and see how your work directly impacts safety, satisfaction, and trust.
Basic Qualifications:
- Diagnose and repair hybrid or EV components if certified, including high-voltage systems and battery packs.
- Work in coordination with other technicians, painters, body shop staff, or tow drivers depending on the repair scope.
- Monitor for recurring issues or recall-related problems and notify customers or service writers accordingly.
- Respect customer property—using protective covers, floor mats, and returning vehicles in clean, working condition.
- Use OBD-II scanners, multimeters, and manufacturer-specific software to troubleshoot check engine lights and system errors.
Preferred:
- Familiar with shop safety protocols, proper tool usage, and hazardous material handling.
- Able to communicate clearly with customers or service advisors about findings and estimates.
- Proven experience diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle systems including engines, brakes, and suspensions.
- Values precision, safety, and honest workmanship on every repair job.
- Comfortable reading and interpreting service manuals, wiring diagrams, and repair instructions.
Benefits:
- Work in a fast-paced shop where no two days are the same.
- Access to a network of experienced pros — teamwork makes the dream work.
- Discounts on vehicle services and parts — we’ve got your back for your ride too.
- Work with a crew that knows how to have fun — mechanic humor is a real thing.
- Competitive pay that rewards your experience and expertise.
You’ll be given feedback after every stage — not to criticize, but to sharpen, guide, and help you build confidence in what you do. You’ll start to recognize patterns: noises, wear, common failures — and eventually, you’ll stop needing to ask every time. You’ll earn respect by doing things right, cleaning up after yourself, checking torque specs, and not being afraid to say “I’m not sure — can you show me? You’ll mentor junior techs when needed, and take feedback like a pro when the tables are turned. You’ll go home tired, maybe sore — but also proud, because you fixed something real, and someone’s car runs better because of you. You’ll work with people who want you to succeed — not compete — and who remember what it felt like to pick up a torque wrench for the first time. You’ll finish each shift a little smarter, a little stronger, and a lot prouder of what you’re building — skill by skill, bolt by bolt. If you’re ready to build something real — for yourself, with your hands, and on your own terms — we’re ready to hand you the wrench and teach you right.
