We’re looking for a reliable and efficient Online Job Application Assistant to help clients navigate the job application process. You’ll help job seekers identify relevant opportunities and customize their resumes and cover letters to meet specific job requirements. You’ll help clients create personalized resumes and cover letters, ensuring they highlight their skills and experiences effectively. You’ll guide job seekers through every step of the application process, from submitting the application to preparing for interviews. You’ll track application statuses, manage timelines, and send reminders for follow-ups and deadlines. You’ll research companies and roles to help candidates understand the job market and what each opportunity entails. You’ll help clients navigate online job portals, making sure they know how to use features and apply effectively. You’ll provide advice on job search strategies, including effective networking techniques and how to reach out to hiring managers. You’ll communicate directly with clients, providing updates and maintaining a steady flow of communication during the application process.
Basic Qualifications:
- Act as a support system during a stressful process—you're not just pushing buttons, you're helping someone get hired.
- Document your process for each client so they can take over independently if needed.
- Stay familiar with ATS-friendly formatting and help ensure resumes make it past screening bots.
- Help clients identify relevant job openings based on their background, career goals, and preferences (e.g., remote, industry, seniority).
- Maintain flexibility—some clients want you to handle everything, others just need help staying organized.
Preferred:
- Able to proofread resumes, cover letters, and written responses for grammar and clarity.
- Able to identify strong job matches based on a candidate’s experience, skills, and preferences.
- Background or interest in HR, career coaching, recruiting, or admin support.
- Wants to grow into roles like Career Services Coordinator, Talent Support Specialist, or Virtual HR Assistant.
- Familiar with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and understands how formatting affects parsing.
