Description:

We’re seeking a creative and detail-oriented Podcast Editor to help produce high-quality audio content for our podcast. You’ll be responsible for editing raw podcast audio, including cutting, mixing, and improving sound quality to produce polished final episodes. You’ll work closely with hosts and producers to refine the audio, enhance storytelling, and maintain a cohesive tone throughout the episodes. You’ll clean up audio files, remove background noise, and enhance sound quality to ensure professional-grade recordings. You’ll ensure each episode is engaging and polished, adding music, sound effects, and transitions to improve the listening experience. You’ll incorporate music, sound effects, and transitions to enhance storytelling and make episodes more engaging for listeners. You’ll collaborate with the creative team to incorporate feedback, ensuring that each episode aligns with the overall vision of the podcast. You’ll assist in preparing promotional clips or highlights to be shared on social media, increasing engagement with the audience.

Basic Qualifications:

• Maintain an archive of raw and edited files, keeping backups organized for future edits, remasters, or republishing needs.
• Ultimately, make each episode sound seamless, engaging, and worth listening to—because good editing makes great conversations shine.
• Perform quality control checks before publishing to catch issues like echo, misalignment, or missing segments.
• Ensure all content meets podcast platform guidelines (Apple, Spotify, etc.) and follows copyright best practices.
• Balance audio levels, apply EQ and compression, and clean up vocals to ensure clarity and consistency across all speakers.

Preferred:

• Knows how to keep a consistent sound across episodes, seasons, and voice styles.
• Open to batch editing multiple episodes ahead of publishing schedule.
• Familiar with audio enhancements such as compression, EQ, and normalization.
• Background or interest in audio production, storytelling, radio, or media.
• Willing to give creative input on improving audio quality, structure, or listener engagement.

You’ll ensure that episodes are ready for distribution, including proper formatting, tagging, and publishing on platforms. You’ll help maintain a positive and productive workflow, handling multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. This remote position offers flexibility, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to the success of a growing podcast.
