Description:
We’re looking for a Flight Dispatcher who can think like a pilot, act like a strategist, and stay calm when everything is in motion. You won’t wear a pilot’s wings, but you’ll carry just as much responsibility. While passengers sip coffee at the gate, you’ll already be deep into wind speeds, pressure maps, and runway conditions. You’ll interpret complex data — wind speeds, runway conditions, turbulence forecasts — and translate it into confident plans. When conditions change, you’ll adapt fast — rerouting, recalculating, and communicating without hesitation. You’ll work side-by-side with pilots, updating them in real time, briefing with clarity, and reacting without panic when plans shift. You’ll juggle multiple flights at once, staying cool even when everything changes in seconds. You’re not just reactive — you’re proactive, predicting delays, spotting risks, and making fast, informed decisions. You’ll stay calm under pressure, knowing that your job is to bring order and confidence when the skies grow unpredictable. Your calm voice over the headset can bring comfort during chaos and clarity when minutes feel like seconds.
Basic Qualifications:
- Evaluate meteorological data including turbulence reports, wind speeds, icing conditions, and visibility to make safety-first operational decisions.
- Use dispatch software and tools (e.g., Lido, Sabre, Skybook, or Jeppesen) to generate flight plans, load sheets, and pre-departure briefing packages.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in dispatch regulations, systems, and procedures through continuous training and certification.
- Provide guidance to junior dispatchers or assist in on-the-job training under supervision if required.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with both flight crews and non-technical teams to align on updates and needs.
Preferred:
- Willing to work in shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Can analyze NOTAMs, METARs, and TAFs to ensure safe and compliant dispatching decisions.
- Wants to grow into roles like OCC Supervisor, Senior Dispatcher, or Flight Operations Manager.
- Pays close attention to dispatch logs, weather briefings, and route clearances.
- Thrives in structured, mission-critical environments where every second counts.
Benefits:
- We provide access to live systems, weather data, NOTAMs, flight plans, and training — but your judgment and calm under pressure are key.
- We celebrate quick thinking, accurate planning, and smooth reroutes under stress.
- You’ll coordinate with pilots, air traffic control, and ground teams — and keep everyone in sync.
- We respect your focus, your alertness, and your role in keeping lives safe above the clouds.
- If you love aviation, logistics, decision-making, and a bit of adrenaline — this is where you belong.
You’re a master of systems, but never reliant on them — your instincts and training guide you first. You’ll operate under pressure that’s invisible to most, but real to you — and you’ll thrive in it. You’ll thrive under pressure, not because it’s easy, but because you’ve trained your mind to stay clear when it counts most. You’ll keep meticulous records and logs — not just for protocol, but because every detail matters when safety is on the line. Your communication skills will be crisp, clear, and direct — no room for confusion at 35,000 feet. You’ll embrace the pressure, knowing that your choices impact lives, timelines, and entire operations. You’ll help others fly with confidence — knowing someone sharp, steady, and ready is guiding from the ground. This role isn’t glamorous — but for those who love aviation deeply, it’s as vital as the aircraft itself. If you think in maps, listen to the weather, and find peace in control — welcome to dispatch.
