Description:

We’re hiring a detail-oriented and dedicated Game Tester to help ensure our games meet the highest quality standards. You’ll be responsible for testing game features, gameplay mechanics, and other elements to identify issues that affect player experience. You’ll collaborate with developers to document and track bugs, providing clear and actionable reports to resolve issues efficiently. You’ll collaborate closely with the development team to report and track bugs, assisting in troubleshooting and prioritizing fixes. You’ll assist in creating test plans, test cases, and scripts to ensure the game functions as intended in all scenarios. You’ll help test user interfaces, ensuring all menus, buttons, and navigation systems are intuitive and bug-free. You’ll ensure that all reported bugs are documented clearly, including steps to reproduce, screenshots, and other relevant information. You’ll identify and track issues related to crashes, freezes, and other serious bugs that disrupt gameplay.

Basic Qualifications:

• Be patient and persistent—some bugs are rare and require repetition or creativity to uncover.
• Stay up to date with platform-specific certification requirements (e.g., Xbox, PlayStation, iOS, Google Play) to support compliance testing.
• Test for gameplay balance, difficulty scaling, collision errors, and game-breaking bugs that impact user experience.
• Play games from a user-first mindset, but test like a detective—curious, methodical, and thorough.
• Keep organized testing documentation—logs, test plans, and reports—so teams can reference findings quickly and efficiently.

Preferred:

• Values confidentiality when working on unreleased or NDA-protected titles.
• Open to learning about automation testing or scripting if required.
• Willing to work with developers, designers, and QA leads to clarify test results.
• Understands basic testing terminology like test cases, repro steps, and bug severity.
• Comfortable following detailed test plans and documenting results accurately.
