Description:
We’re hiring a CNC Machine Operator Trainee — no prior experience required, just a serious attitude, steady hands, and the willingness to learn the right way from day one. You don’t need experience, but you do need to be serious about learning a skill that takes time, focus, and care. You’ll be introduced to CNC machines that run with sensors, digital dashboards, tool-life monitoring, and built-in quality alerts — and we’ll show you how it all works. You’ll load materials, inspect tools, calibrate settings, and make sure everything is aligned before the first cut is made. You’ll learn how to read tolerances, measure finished parts with calipers and micrometers, and know when something is slightly off before it becomes a defect. You’ll inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and visual checks to ensure everything is within tolerance. You’ll keep logs, follow production documentation, and report any defects or irregularities immediately. You’ll get comfortable navigating CNC control panels — not just pushing buttons, but understanding what each one does and why. You’ll measure parts using calipers, micrometers, and height gauges, and double-check your numbers before moving forward.
Basic Qualifications:
- Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, or CMM equipment to ensure they meet dimensional and quality standards.
- Identify and flag non-conforming parts for rework or scrap, following proper procedures and documentation protocols.
- Adjust machine settings, tool offsets, or cutting speeds as needed to optimize efficiency and maintain tolerances.
- Keep a clean, organized workstation to prevent accidents and support an efficient workflow.
- Assist with machine changeovers or setups for different part runs, minimizing downtime between jobs.
Preferred:
- Experience running quality checks and documenting measurements for QA reporting.
- Values precision, consistency, and quality in every stage of the machining process.
- Enjoys working with complex machines and improving efficiency on the shop floor.
- Experience operating CNC machines such as mills, lathes, or routers in a production environment.
- Able to work with metals, plastics, or composites depending on production needs.
Benefits:
- No toxic culture, just solid people who know their craft.
- You won’t just push buttons — you'll understand what the machine does.
- Flexible shifts depending on your life outside work.
- We celebrate wins, birthdays, and finished batches alike.
- Paid overtime if you want it, no pressure if you don’t.
You’ll learn the value of uptime, the cost of bad offsets, and how even small mistakes in automation can multiply fast if not caught early. You’ll work alongside experienced machinists and programmers who respect the machines — but also know their limits. You’ll take detailed notes, follow setup sheets, and learn how to read blueprints — even if the lighting’s dim and the clock says 3:00 a. ” You’ll grow at your own pace, with patient instruction, honest feedback, and respect for the process — not just the product. You’ll discover that working nights isn’t just about peace and quiet — it’s about being reliable, alert, and taking pride in holding the line. You’ll operate with consistency, focus, and a respect for craftsmanship that goes beyond just pressing "start. " You’ll be a key part of the production process — turning raw material into something exact, functional, and valuable. If you take pride in doing things carefully, learning things properly, and becoming someone others can count on — we’d be proud to train you. ” If you value quiet focus, technical skill, and the satisfaction of solo work done well — we’re ready to train you after dark.
