Description:
We’re hiring an Electrician for emergency service calls — ideal for someone who thrives under pressure, solves problems fast, and keeps calm in unpredictable situations. You’ll perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs in offices, retail centers, schools, hotels, and multi-use properties. You’ll assess each situation on-site, identify the root cause, and make safe, temporary or permanent repairs depending on conditions. You’ll be responsible for installing conduit, cable trays, bus bars, and grounding systems according to safety codes. You’ll inspect, diagnose, and repair equipment such as transformers, switchgear, pumps, compressors, and control panels. You’ll communicate clearly with clients under stress, explaining the issue, risks, and repair plan in a calm, professional tone. You’ll interact with homeowners directly, explaining your work and offering helpful advice on usage, safety, or energy savings. You’ll inspect fire alarms, exit signs, and emergency lighting systems to meet safety standards and pass inspections. You’ll coordinate with dispatchers, property managers, or facility supervisors for access and follow-up scheduling.
Basic Qualifications:
- Take pride in work that quite literally keeps the lights on—safely and reliably.
- Coordinate with contractors, engineers, or facility managers on project timelines and requirements.
- Run wiring through walls, ceilings, and conduits while following safety and code regulations.
- Diagnose overloaded circuits, shorts, or grounding issues and offer safe solutions.
- Follow lockout/tagout procedures and electrical isolation protocols during maintenance.
Preferred:
- Thrives in hands-on, high-responsibility environments where attention to detail is essential.
- Can provide accurate project estimates for labor, parts, and timeline based on job scope.
- Proficient in reading blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics for accurate installation and troubleshooting.
- Licensed or certified electrician with knowledge of local electrical codes and safety standards.
- Experience installing, repairing, and maintaining electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
Benefits:
- We keep the paperwork minimal — so you can focus on the circuits.
- Plenty of variety — residential, commercial, new builds, and diagnostics.
- Recognition for clean installs and sharp troubleshooting — we notice the details.
- Join a crew where jokes fly, tools click, and everyone pulls their weight.
- Your skill protects people from fire, outages, and costly mistakes.
You’ll be trained to follow residential building codes, fire safety protocols, and GFCI/AFCI regulations. You’ll receive training in rapid troubleshooting, live-panel safety, and safe work methods under time constraints. You’ll log repairs, parts used, and time spent per task using building management software or ticketing platforms. You’ll help prevent future incidents by recommending upgrades, repairs, or scheduled maintenance to clients after emergencies are resolved. You’ll be expected to climb ladders, access electrical rooms, and work in hot, loud, or confined environments. You’ll receive support from a lead technician or supervisor who helps assign tasks and manage building priorities. Previous experience in an industrial setting is preferred, but candidates with a strong work ethic and willingness to train are welcome. If you're ready to light up homes with skill and care, we’re ready to welcome you to residential electrical work. If you’re ready to keep buildings powered, safe, and running smoothly — we’re ready to put tools in your hand and welcome you as an Electrician.
