Description:
We’re hiring a Clinical Psychologist Trainee who’s ready to explore the therapeutic process from the inside — no previous experience required, just empathy, professionalism, and a deep interest in mental health. You’ll assist in preparing case summaries, organizing patient files, and reviewing psychological literature relevant to active cases. We’ll teach you how to observe client behavior respectfully, listen actively, and recognize emotional cues during sessions. You’ll help gather psychological assessments, organize client history, and understand how diagnoses are made. Expect to gain exposure to common treatment methods like CBT, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and solution-focused therapy. We’ll walk you through how psychologists conduct assessments, build treatment plans, and set therapeutic goals. You’ll support the preparation of worksheets, feedback forms, and emotional regulation exercises used in sessions. You’ll sit in on supervised sessions (where appropriate) and participate in debriefings with the clinical team. You’ll gain awareness of how culture, background, and environment affect client experiences and therapeutic rapport.
Basic Qualifications:
- Recognize when to refer patients to higher levels of care or specialized services.
- Use techniques such as CBT, DBT, ACT, or psychodynamic therapy depending on the client’s needs.
- Protect client confidentiality at all times and stay informed on relevant legal regulations.
- Provide individual, group, or family therapy sessions in a safe, confidential setting.
- Work independently in private practice or as part of a multidisciplinary clinical team.
Preferred:
- Thrives in emotionally complex, ethically driven environments that center client well-being.
- Experience conducting psychological assessments, diagnostic interviews, and evidence-based therapy sessions.
- Understands how to evaluate mental health symptoms, personality traits, trauma history, and coping mechanisms.
- Background or specialization in clinical psychology, behavioral health, trauma therapy, or assessment.
- Willing to engage in supervision, peer review, or continued education to refine clinical skills.
Benefits:
- Flexible vacation policies — because burnout helps no one.
- No pressure to “take one more” if your schedule is full — we protect your load.
- Contribute to meaningful programs — from trauma recovery to preventive care.
- We care about outcomes, not how many hours you clock.
- Opportunities to lead workshops, research, or community outreach.
We’ll help you understand the importance of cultural sensitivity, trauma-informed language, and inclusive practices. You’ll learn about boundaries, burnout prevention, and how to take care of your own emotional health as a future clinician. This role is perfect for someone who is compassionate, emotionally intelligent, and dedicated to long-term personal and professional growth. You’ll grow in emotional intelligence, analytical thinking, and an appreciation for slow, meaningful progress. We’ll support you with weekly supervision, structured reflection, and opportunities to shadow multiple psychologists. By the end of the traineeship, you’ll be equipped with core psychological concepts and first-hand observations of therapy in practice. You’ll walk away with real-world exposure, ethical grounding, and direction for future specialization or graduate study. If you’re ready to learn how healing happens through empathy, method, and time — this is where it starts.
