Description:

We’re hiring an Illustrator Trainee who’s excited to turn imagination into visuals and sketches into communication — no experience required, just raw creativity, consistency, and a desire to grow. You’ll assist in producing illustrations for social media, editorial layouts, digital products, and storytelling-based projects. We’ll teach you how to follow style guides, work within design systems, and ensure your illustrations serve both function and story. You’ll help sketch scenes, illustrate moments, and refine compositions until they speak without words. Expect to learn how to use light, shape, and rhythm to guide a viewer’s eye and deliver emotional clarity. You’ll gain experience with both digital and hand-drawn workflows depending on your tools and preferred medium. We’ll guide you in understanding how your illustrations function within a broader design system or narrative. You’ll gain experience using tools like Illustrator, Procreate, or Figma to organize and deliver professional artwork. You’ll learn to receive feedback constructively and iterate based on composition, contrast, clarity, and rhythm.

Basic Qualifications:

• Illustrate for a wide range of content: books, marketing campaigns, apps, packaging, or editorial pieces.
• Ensure all files are properly organized, layered, and formatted for developers or printers.
• Maintain flexibility in switching between styles, tones, and audiences depending on the brief.
• Organize your asset libraries and templates for future reuse and efficiency.
• Work closely with writers, designers, and art directors to match visuals with messaging and brand tone.

Preferred:

• Willing to adapt style between minimalist, detailed, flat, textured, or hand-drawn aesthetics.
• Background or passion in illustration, visual arts, graphic design, or animation.
• Willing to create mood boards, style frames, or sketches as part of the ideation process.
• Able to meet deadlines and manage multiple illustration projects simultaneously.
• Capable of illustrating characters, environments, icons, or conceptual scenes from scratch.
