Description:

We’re hiring a Junior QA Tester to help ensure our software is functional, reliable, and free of defects. You’ll be responsible for executing manual tests, identifying defects, and collaborating with developers to fix issues before release. You’ll write detailed bug reports, track test progress, and help ensure that software meets the required standards and specifications. You’ll perform a variety of tests, including functional, regression, and system integration, to ensure software performance. You’ll report bugs and issues, providing detailed steps to reproduce and working with the development team to address them. You’ll track defects using bug tracking tools, maintaining accurate records of identified issues and their resolutions. You’ll assist in maintaining test environments and ensure testing tools and scripts are up-to-date. You’ll work closely with the product team to understand requirements and provide feedback on potential improvements.

Basic Qualifications:

• Be proactive in learning from senior QA engineers, documentation, or courses—your skillset will grow with every sprint.
• Help write and maintain documentation for test cases, QA processes, and known issues.
• Run regression tests during sprints and after deployments to ensure existing functionality isn’t broken.
• Execute manual test cases based on requirements and user stories to identify bugs, UI issues, or performance inconsistencies.
• Test across multiple devices, browsers, and screen sizes to ensure consistent behavior and responsiveness.

Preferred:

• Able to reproduce bugs based on user feedback or vague descriptions.
• Can write clear, step-by-step bug reports and communicate findings to developers.
• Knows how to review UI/UX for consistency and spot layout or responsiveness issues.
• Understands the importance of testing from the user’s perspective.
• Background or interest in software development, quality assurance, or tech in general.

You’ll provide regular reports on test progress and results, highlighting critical issues and suggesting improvements.
