Description:

We’re hiring a Security Guard Trainee who’s observant, respectful, and ready to learn how to maintain safety and order in a professional environment. You’ll begin by assisting with entry point monitoring — checking tickets, wristbands, and personal belongings according to event policy. You’ll be trained to monitor surveillance systems in low-traffic periods, watching for suspicious movement or activity after hours. You’ll be trained to handle intercom systems, surveillance monitors, and electronic keycard access tools. You’ll learn how to spot signs of forced entry, broken locks, or unusual activity and report them quickly to your supervisor. You’ll be shown how to communicate calmly and clearly, even in noisy or high-energy situations. You’ll learn to interact with retail staff, cleaning teams, and mall management to keep daily operations smooth. You’ll learn how to remain present, polite, and alert — even during long hours on your feet or in difficult weather conditions. You’ll learn proper radio communication etiquette, using call signs and clear codes to report updates to your team.

Basic Qualifications:

• Attend training sessions to stay updated on safety standards and security best practices.
• Wear and maintain proper uniform and identification at all times during your shift.
• Provide basic first aid or CPR if certified and required in emergency situations.
• Respond diplomatically but firmly when confronting suspicious or unauthorized activity.
• Support crowd control efforts during events, emergencies, or high-traffic situations.

Preferred:

• Values responsibility, vigilance, and professionalism in every shift.
• Understands basic conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
• Willing to assist in maintaining order during events, deliveries, or shift changes.
• Background or interest in safety, law enforcement, military, or public service.
• Open to training in workplace safety, first aid, or customer service depending on the site.
