Description:

We’re hiring a Locksmith to help people regain access, feel secure, and upgrade their lock systems — perfect for someone who’s precise, calm under pressure, and enjoys hands-on problem-solving. You’ll install smart locks, keypads, fingerprint scanners, and mobile-controlled entry systems for homes, apartments, and businesses. You’ll be trained to pick locks, rekey cylinders, cut keys, and install or repair deadbolts, knobs, and access systems. You’ll cut and program transponder keys, key fobs, remote start systems, and push-to-start units using diagnostic equipment. You’ll extract broken keys from ignitions and doors, replace cylinders, and repair switch assemblies as needed. You’ll install and program digital locks, keypad systems, or smart locks depending on client needs and access type. You’ll communicate with dispatch, log job status, and report completion using mobile apps or radio systems. You’ll rotate between scheduled maintenance, installation projects, and urgent security calls based on your weekly route. You’ll rotate between emergency calls, dealership support, and scheduled rekeys or upgrades throughout your shift.

Basic Qualifications:

• Coordinate with property managers, police, or building contractors on complex lock systems.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, manufacturer guidelines, and local regulations.
• Install or troubleshoot access control panels, card readers, and intercom entry systems.
• Handle safes, vaults, or secure storage units, including safe cracking when legally authorized.
• Respond promptly to scheduled jobs and urgent calls, even during nights or weekends.

Preferred:

• Willing to respond to emergency calls, including lockouts, lost keys, or broken locks, often after hours or on weekends.
• Able to install or service door closers, panic bars, master key systems, and high-security lock systems.
• Willing to advise clients on upgrading lock systems, access control, or home/business security solutions.
• Pays close attention to cleanliness, professionalism, and worksite safety during every job.
• Can follow blueprints, architectural drawings, or specs for large-scale keying and hardware installations.

You’ll keep your vehicle fully stocked with lock cylinders, tools, safety gear, and temporary hardware for after-hours repairs. You’ll document installations, collect signatures, and track warranty information through a mobile field app. You’ll help educate clients on stronger lock options, safety tips, and how to avoid future emergencies. You’ll work both independently and alongside contractors, engineers, or facility techs depending on the scope of the job. You’ll document every call clearly, especially when dealing with forced entry, trespassing, or damaged property.
