Description:

We’re looking for a Cleaner Trainee to help keep our office spaces clean, organized, and ready for a productive day. You’ll begin by learning daily cleaning routines — from vacuuming carpets to wiping down desks and disinfecting high-touch areas. You’ll assist in sanitizing bathrooms, refilling toiletries, and ensuring towels are fresh, folded, and properly placed. You’ll be trained to notice the small details — from dust on lampshades to streaks on mirrors — that elevate a guest’s stay. You’ll help wipe down handrails, elevator buttons, escalator belts, and glass doors to remove smudges and germs. You’ll help restock supplies like soap, paper towels, toilet tissue, and waste bags during your rounds. You’ll learn to follow a checklist to ensure no detail is missed — from light switches to door handles and windowsills. You’ll work closely with the laundry team to track linen flow and ensure nothing is damaged or misplaced. You’ll wear appropriate PPE and follow all workplace safety rules, especially around cleaning agents and closed areas.

Basic Qualifications:

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust surfaces to maintain a clean and welcoming environment.
• Practice eco-friendly cleaning habits when possible, such as minimizing water or chemical waste.
• Replenish supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and paper towels in restrooms and break rooms.
• Work independently or as part of a team to complete cleaning tasks within set timeframes.
• Empty trash bins, replace liners, and dispose of waste following health and safety regulations.

Preferred:

• Understands how to use cleaning products safely, including proper dilution, storage, and labeling.
• Understands the difference between general cleaning, deep cleaning, and disinfecting tasks.
• Able to lift light to moderate loads and complete physically active tasks throughout the shift.
• Wants to grow into roles like Head Cleaner, Cleaning Supervisor, or Facility Assistant.
• Values cleanliness, reliability, and efficiency in everyday work.
