We’re welcoming a passionate Elementary School Teacher Trainee who believes every child deserves a warm, supportive, and engaging learning environment. You’ll start each day with a smile, helping set up the classroom so it’s calm, clean, and ready for learning. From day one, you’ll support young students with hands-on help during lessons, activities, and transitions throughout the school day. You’ll support the lead teacher with everything from lesson delivery to classroom organization and activity supervision. Whether helping tie shoelaces, sharpen pencils, or calm nerves before a quiz, you’ll be there — quietly building trust. You’ll get hands-on experience working with children who learn at different paces and come from diverse backgrounds. You’ll help create a classroom environment where every child feels safe, respected, and excited to learn. You’ll help students work together respectfully, take turns, and navigate small conflicts with kindness. You’ll prepare materials, tidy learning centers, and contribute to decorating the classroom with student work.

Basic Qualifications:

• Stay up to date on curriculum standards, teaching methods, and child development research.
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons across core subjects like math, reading, science, and social studies.
• Adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with diverse learning styles and abilities.
• Celebrate student progress—big or small—with encouragement, high-fives, and creativity.
• Foster a love of reading, problem-solving, and critical thinking from an early age.

Preferred:

• Willing to differentiate instruction to support students with special needs or English language learners.
• Can communicate effectively with parents, administrators, and fellow educators.
• Wants to grow into roles like Lead Teacher, Instructional Coach, or Curriculum Developer.
• Organized with lesson planning, grading, and maintaining detailed student records and portfolios.
• Open to attending parent-teacher conferences, school events, and ongoing professional development workshops.
