Description:

We’re hiring a Loader Trainee to support cargo handling at our maritime terminal — ideal for someone who’s physically ready, alert, and curious about large-scale global logistics. You’ll begin by helping move boxes, pallets, and goods from delivery trucks into storage zones, always following safety procedures. You’ll be trained on how to lift properly, use trolleys and pallet jacks, and avoid injury during repetitive tasks. You’ll help with strapping, bracing, and securing shipments inside containers using safety-approved methods. You’ll work alongside crane operators, forklift drivers, and logistics coordinators to stage goods safely and efficiently. You’ll gain awareness of heavy machinery zones, learning where to walk, when to wait, and how to signal for movement. You’ll learn how to communicate with site supervisors, crane operators, and drivers to keep things moving efficiently. You’ll gain experience in reading manifests and using checklists to confirm that every order is accounted for before it leaves. You’ll follow strict safety rules — from reflective vests to helmet use — and help maintain a clean, hazard-free dock area.

Basic Qualifications:

• Work well under pressure and complete tasks within tight loading windows or dispatch times.
• Wear required protective gear like gloves, vests, and steel-toed boots during all tasks.
• Be physically prepared for repetitive tasks, lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
• Double-check load accuracy to reduce delays, returns, or safety issues down the line.
• Verify shipment contents against packing slips, manifests, or digital records.

Preferred:

• Willing to assist in labeling, scanning, and checking items before or after loading.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines and frequent movement.
• Team-oriented and capable of communicating clearly with forklift drivers, warehouse clerks, or logistics teams.
• Thrives in environments where teamwork, strength, and precision are essential to success.
• Understands how to balance speed and caution to maintain safety and productivity.
