Description:

We’re hiring a Truck Driver Trainee for intercity and long-distance routes — no experience needed, just a license, steady hands, and a head for the road. You may be new to trucking, but if you respect the road, stay alert behind the wheel, and want to learn how logistics really works — we’re ready to train you. You’ll start by riding along with experienced drivers, learning how to inspect the truck, check the load, and prepare for the road ahead. You’ll get familiar with route planning, weather checks, fuel strategy, and rest stops — because long-haul driving is 50% logistics, 50% discipline. You’ll learn how to secure cargo, fill out proper paperwork, and communicate with dispatch clearly and professionally. You’ll work alongside senior drivers, joining real routes, watching how things are done, and getting your hands on the process without pressure. You’ll be taught how to talk with dispatch, stay organized, and solve problems calmly when schedules or weather don’t go your way. You’ll represent the company on the road, at docks, and with customers — and your professionalism makes the first impression. You’ll be expected to plan routes, adapt to detours, and handle delays with calm and common sense.

Basic Qualifications:

• Monitor weather, traffic, and road closures to proactively avoid delays or unsafe driving conditions.
• Communicate clearly with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers regarding arrival times, delays, or special delivery instructions.
• Operate commercial trucks to transport goods safely and efficiently over local, regional, or long-haul routes.
• Comply with all federal, state, and local traffic laws, as well as company safety standards and delivery procedures.
• Load and unload cargo as required—ensuring proper weight distribution, secure fastening, and damage prevention.

Preferred:

• Understands the importance of customer service, punctuality, and safe driving practices.
• Pays close attention to cargo safety, weight limits, and proper securing of loads.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, hours-of-service rules, and logbook requirements.
• Enjoys the freedom of the road and playing a key role in keeping goods moving.
