Description:

We’re hiring Mobile Phlebotomist Trainees — no experience needed, just a careful approach, strong communication skills, and the ability to stay organized on the go. You’ll be trained to collect blood samples from infants, toddlers, and young children in a way that’s safe, clean, and as stress-free as possible. We’ll teach you the proper techniques step by step: vein selection, needle handling, labeling, and safety protocols. We’ll teach you how to collect samples with minimal disruption, follow strict safety protocols, and navigate the hospital calmly at night. You’ll learn to collect samples accurately, label them properly, and maintain a strict chain of custody from draw to drop-off. We’ll guide you through safety protocols, how to handle pediatric tubes and needles, and how to build trust with nervous parents. Donors may be first-timers, regulars, or nervous visitors — and you’ll learn how to adapt to each interaction with professionalism and kindness. You’ll become comfortable working with nurses, pediatricians, and parents as part of a care team focused on comfort and accuracy. You’ll also become part of public events and mobile blood drives — at schools, offices, and community centers.

Basic Qualifications:

• Keep accurate logs of samples taken and note any complications or patient reactions.
• Take pride in your role—small vials, big impact on someone’s health.
• Remain calm and gentle, even in busy or high-stress environments.
• Be a team player, jumping in to help coworkers when the schedule gets tight.
• Adjust techniques for patients with special needs or medical conditions.

Preferred:

• Able to identify suitable veins, prepare collection equipment, and follow proper site sanitation procedures.
• Experienced in using collection systems such as vacutainers, butterflies, and syringes.
• Organized with documentation, tube handling, and maintaining clean, stocked workstations.
• Values precision, cleanliness, and patient-centered care in every interaction.
• Knows how to handle fainting, nausea, or adverse reactions during collection.
