Description:

We’re looking for Paramedic Dispatcher Trainees who may not have experience, but have the heart to help and the voice to stay calm. This job will test you — not physically, but mentally — because you’ll hear fear, confusion, and panic on the other end of the line. We’ll show you how to stay calm when others are panicking and guide them with clarity and care. You’ll never be thrown in alone — you’ll train side by side with experienced dispatchers who know how to guide you through it. You’ll learn to track ambulances in real time, prioritize incoming calls, and dispatch units with speed and precision. You’ll hear fear, pain, confusion — but your calm tone will be the first sign that help is coming. You’ll be trained to stay focused when others are crying, screaming, or unable to explain what’s happening. You’ll be supported by a team who’s been there — people who understand the emotional toll and know how to protect each other from it. You’ll receive ongoing guidance from experienced dispatchers who know how to spot patterns and make fast, smart decisions.

Basic Qualifications:

• Log all calls and actions accurately in the system for future reference and reporting.
• Work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays when needed.
• Prioritize multiple emergencies at once, staying composed under pressure.
• Balance multiple incoming calls, updates, and dispatch instructions simultaneously.
• Follow protocols for different emergency types while making rapid decisions.

Preferred:

• Able to answer emergency calls, gather critical information quickly, and dispatch paramedic units appropriately.
• Wants to grow into roles like EMS Supervisor, Communications Coordinator, or 911 Operations Manager.
• Capable of quickly updating unit statuses, rerouting crews, and documenting outcomes.
• Can provide pre-arrival instructions for basic first aid or CPR until help arrives.
• Works well as part of a response team and communicates clearly during handovers or transitions.
