Description:

We’re hiring Phlebotomist Trainees for our blood donation center — no experience needed, just enthusiasm, attention to detail, and a warm, welcoming attitude. You’ll be trained to collect blood samples from infants, toddlers, and young children in a way that’s safe, clean, and as stress-free as possible. We’ll teach you how to prepare the space, engage with families, and explain procedures in kid-friendly language. Your first days will focus on observing, preparing equipment, and supporting licensed phlebotomists during real patient interactions. You’ll learn how to read lab orders, label correctly, and transport samples quickly to ensure fast processing for overnight analysis. Each floor has its rhythm — and you’ll become skilled at moving efficiently without rushing, adjusting to both stable and critical patients. You’ll assist in both outpatient clinics and hospital settings, seeing everything from routine labs to urgent collections. We’ll guide you in staying calm during high-volume donation drives and how to keep lines moving while giving each person your full attention. You’ll develop a quiet confidence: how to knock, introduce yourself, set the tone, and get the job done with care and calm.

Basic Qualifications:

• Monitor patients for dizziness or fainting and respond quickly if needed.
• Work closely with nurses, lab techs, and doctors to support diagnostics.
• Be a team player, jumping in to help coworkers when the schedule gets tight.
• Keep your certification and CPR training up to date as required.
• Dispose of needles, gloves, and biohazard waste properly after each draw.

Preferred:

• Pays close attention to patient identity verification and test requisition accuracy.
• Able to follow chain-of-custody procedures for drug screenings or forensic tests.
• Comfortable collecting blood samples via needle, fingerstick, or heelstick when necessary.
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with high patient volumes and time-sensitive samples.
• Background or interest in healthcare, clinical labs, or diagnostic services.
