We’re offering an Actuary Trainee position for someone who wants to turn data into smart, future-focused decisions — no experience needed, just a strong foundation in math and a drive to learn. You’ll support senior actuaries in analyzing trends, building financial models, and exploring patterns in risk-related data. We’ll teach you how to build basic actuarial models using spreadsheets, statistical tools, and actuarial software. You’ll learn to use industry-standard tools and spreadsheets to simulate future scenarios and analyze risk exposure. Expect to work with historical data and help identify trends that drive strategic planning. You’ll use tools like Excel, R, or Python — and we’ll help you ramp up if you’re new to any of them. We’ll guide you through the principles of time value of money, discounting, and present value calculations. You’ll participate in scenario modeling and learn how small assumptions can lead to big financial impacts. We’ll show you how to stress-test assumptions and identify weaknesses in financial models before they become risks.

Basic Qualifications:

• Document assumptions and methodologies clearly so others can validate or reproduce results.
• Break down large problems into smaller pieces, testing assumptions and dependencies carefully.
• Support internal audit or risk committees by preparing clear and concise reports.
• Review reinsurance arrangements and evaluate how they affect risk exposure and capital needs.
• Balance mathematical precision with practical judgment—sometimes the data alone isn't enough.

Preferred:

• Pays close attention to assumptions, methodologies, and sensitivity analysis in modeling.
• Able to analyze large data sets and interpret trends for insurance, pensions, or investment decisions.
• Thrives in analytical, detail-focused environments where models drive business strategy.
• Comfortable using tools like Excel (with advanced functions), SAS, Prophet, or VBA for data manipulation.
• Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, and financial theory with relevant academic background.
