We’re hiring Phlebotomist Trainees — no experience required, just steady hands, a calm voice, and a genuine desire to help people. You’ll be trained to collect blood samples from infants, toddlers, and young children in a way that’s safe, clean, and as stress-free as possible. We’ll teach you the proper techniques step by step: vein selection, needle handling, labeling, and safety protocols. Your first days will focus on observing, preparing equipment, and supporting licensed phlebotomists during real patient interactions. You’ll learn to collect samples accurately, label them properly, and maintain a strict chain of custody from draw to drop-off. Patients may be elderly, homebound, or managing chronic conditions — your ability to explain, reassure, and respect their space is just as important as your technique. You’ll assist in both outpatient clinics and hospital settings, seeing everything from routine labs to urgent collections. We’ll show you how to handle lab requests, maintain records, and manage your station with professionalism and care. You’ll also learn to handle difficult veins, time-sensitive collections, and how to work efficiently during busy shifts.

Basic Qualifications:

• Label vials clearly and accurately to prevent mix-ups in lab processing.
• Greet patients with kindness and ease their anxiety about the procedure.
• Respond professionally to complaints or discomfort from patients.
• Dispose of needles, gloves, and biohazard waste properly after each draw.
• Adjust techniques for patients with special needs or medical conditions.

Preferred:

• Capable of maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Experience drawing blood from patients of all ages in hospital, clinic, or lab settings.
• Organized with documentation, tube handling, and maintaining clean, stocked workstations.
• Thrives in structured, procedural environments where safety and consistency matter.
• Background or interest in healthcare, clinical labs, or diagnostic services.
