Description:
We’re hiring Paramedic Dispatcher Trainees — no experience needed, just a clear voice, a steady mind, and a deep sense of responsibility. You don’t need a background in emergency work — just a willingness to listen, learn, and grow step by step. We’ll start by teaching you the basics: how to answer calls, what questions to ask, and how to follow clear protocols. We’ll teach you how to ask the right questions, give life-saving instructions, and make fast, accurate decisions. You’ll learn to track ambulances in real time, prioritize incoming calls, and dispatch units with speed and precision. Expect to handle calls involving heart attacks, accidents, overdoses, and more — sometimes back to back, sometimes overlapping. Accuracy is everything — names, times, addresses, symptoms — even one mistake can delay life-saving help. You’ll be supported by a team who’s been there — people who understand the emotional toll and know how to protect each other from it. This is a team that looks out for each other — because when the work is hard, support makes all the difference.
Basic Qualifications:
- Review and update shift logs, resource availability, and contact lists regularly.
- Communicate clearly and quickly without missing critical details.
- Participate in regular training on emergency response procedures and systems.
- Double-check call details to reduce dispatch errors and miscommunications.
- Provide callers with step-by-step instructions for basic first aid or CPR until help arrives.
Preferred:
- Committed to continuous performance review and improving response efficiency.
- Capable of staying calm, focused, and empathetic under high-stress or life-threatening situations.
- Organized with handling multiple calls, dispatches, and updates simultaneously.
- Willing to work rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Open to ongoing training in emergency medical dispatch (EMD), CPR instruction, and communication skills.
Benefits:
- Work in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment where your focus *matters*.
- Supportive supervisors who know the job — because they’ve done it too.
- You’ll hear things you’ll never forget — and get support for the ones that hit hard.
- You may never see the lives you save, but you'll feel the impact daily.
- Comprehensive training provided — we’ll prepare you for anything, not throw you in.
This job blends technology, communication, and human urgency — all under one headset. You’ll be part of a 24/7 system that never sleeps, because emergencies don’t wait for business hours. You won’t be in the ambulance, but you’ll be the reason it arrives fast and prepared. You’ll help ensure every second is used wisely — from call pickup to wheels rolling toward the scene. You’ll also learn how to back up your team, handle misrouted calls, and spot red flags in unclear situations. You won’t be visible to the public — but your timing, logic, and calm will ripple through every life you help save. You’ll leave each shift proud, maybe tired, but certain that your voice helped someone hold on a little longer. If you’re ready to build skill gently but steadily — we’re ready to walk that journey with you from day one.
