Description:

We’re looking for a Video Editing Intern who lives inside the For You Page, watches YouTube Shorts before bed, and knows how to cut fast and scroll-stopping content. ” You don’t need a full portfolio — just a good eye, a basic reel, and a serious drive to improve every week. You won’t be buried in theory — you’ll be editing real projects from week one, with guidance and feedback along the way. You’ll start by sorting footage, syncing audio, organizing timelines, and helping the team keep edits tight and clean. You’ll learn why pacing matters, how music changes emotion, and what makes a cut feel good — even if the viewer doesn’t know why. You’ll be in charge of little things that matter: naming files clearly, exporting correctly, and triple-checking timestamps in the show notes. You’ll learn to color correct, mix audio, apply transitions (without overdoing it), and export for different platforms. You’ll sit in on feedback rounds, take notes, and start to notice what separates “good enough” from “publish-ready. You’ll learn how to deal with echo, dead air, awkward pauses, and “uhhh... You’ll get a crash course in production logic: how to build for reuse, cut down 2 minutes into 15 seconds, and when to *not* add another transition.

Basic Qualifications:

• Maintain brand consistency across all edits—using approved fonts, colors, music libraries, and motion templates.
• Prepare multiple versions of a single video for different use cases—trailers, teasers, cutdowns, or language variants.
• Follow copyright and licensing rules when using music, stock footage, or branded content.
• Transcode and compress files for upload without compromising visual or audio quality.
• Keep up with editing trends on social platforms (jump cuts, text overlays, meme timing) to keep content fresh and shareable.

Preferred:

• Experience adding motion graphics, subtitles, or animated transitions is a plus.
• Willing to suggest creative edits, cuts, or ideas to improve video flow and viewer retention.
• Able to collaborate with content creators, marketers, or creative directors.
• Understands the importance of storytelling and emotional engagement in video editing.
• Able to produce video variants for A/B testing, localization, or platform-specific goals.
