Description:

We’re hiring a Paramedic Trainee who’s ready to learn how to respond quickly, think clearly, and act compassionately in emergency medical situations. You’ll assist with setting up first aid stations and prepping mobile response gear before gates open to the public. You’ll help prepare for long transports by checking oxygen supply, battery life, medications, and equipment before each shift. You’ll be trained to communicate with nurses and hospital staff during patient handoffs, making sure no detail is missed. You’ll be trained to adapt when resources are limited and hospital access takes 30 minutes or more by road. You’ll assist in lifting patients from hazardous environments and supporting their transfer to emergency vehicles. You’ll observe how paramedics keep detailed transfer logs, manage medications-in-transit, and ensure documentation is accurate and timely. You’ll learn how to respond calmly to a wide range of situations — from car accidents to cardiac arrests to non-emergency transports. You’ll be taught how to use communication skills to reassure patients, manage panicked family members, and stay focused under pressure.

Basic Qualifications:

• Remain flexible and alert throughout unpredictable, high-intensity shifts.
• Respond rapidly to emergency calls and assess the condition of patients at the scene.
• Support disaster relief efforts, mass casualty events, or community outreach programs if required.
• Participate in debriefings or peer support after traumatic incidents to maintain mental health.
• Report equipment malfunctions or vehicle issues promptly to maintain operational readiness.

Preferred:

• Able to remain calm and focused during emergencies, including mass casualty incidents or high-risk environments.
• Able to manage emotional stress, exposure to trauma, and unpredictable work conditions.
• Capable of quick decision-making under pressure while maintaining compassion and ethical judgment.
• Understands medical protocols, triage methods, and scope of practice defined by local or national regulations.
• Can educate patients and family members about care steps or post-discharge instructions when appropriate.
