Description:

We’re offering an opportunity to become a Tailor — no experience required, just a passion for clothes, precision, and hands-on work. You don’t need experience, just focus, patience, and a genuine interest in how clothes are made and altered. You’ll start with the basics: how to thread machines, press fabric, take accurate measurements, and mark garments. You’ll start by learning how to measure correctly, cut fabric cleanly, and use sewing machines safely. You’ll be trained in both hand stitching and machine sewing, always with close supervision and guidance. You’ll also practice ironing, pinning garments, and preparing items for fittings and final touches. You’ll be trained by master tailors who will guide you through techniques that take years to perfect. You’ll discover how every fabric has its own personality — and how tailors work with each one carefully. This job is about precision — small changes can make a big difference in how a garment fits and feels.

Basic Qualifications:

• Steam, press, and finish garments to present them in showroom-ready condition before pickup or delivery.
• Measure clients accurately using tape measures and fitting techniques to ensure custom garments or alterations fit precisely.
• Sew, alter, repair, and restyle clothing such as suits, dresses, pants, jackets, and uniforms using sewing machines, sergers, and hand stitching.
• Adhere to deadlines, especially for weddings, events, or seasonal wardrobe needs—meeting expectations with care and precision.
• Track materials and supplies needed for upcoming projects, helping maintain stock of threads, linings, and zippers.

Preferred:

• Willing to suggest design adjustments to improve comfort, mobility, or style.
• Proficient in sewing, altering, and repairing garments by hand or using industrial sewing machines.
• Able to repair or modify formalwear, uniforms, traditional clothing, or casual attire.
• Pays strong attention to detail and maintains consistency in every stitch and seam.
• Comfortable performing tasks such as hemming, tapering, resizing, and replacing zippers or buttons.
