Description:

We’re hiring a Locksmith to specialize in upgrading traditional locks to smart systems — perfect for someone who’s tech-friendly, customer-focused, and excited about modern security solutions. You’ll respond to car lockouts, lost key scenarios, broken ignitions, and remote reprogramming requests across a variety of vehicle makes and models. You’ll install high-security deadbolts, keyless entry systems, panic bars, closers, and master key systems across a variety of commercial sites. You’ll assist with creating and maintaining master key hierarchies, issuing access levels by department or personnel. You’ll repair or replace worn cylinders, broken card readers, misaligned strike plates, and faulty door hardware. You’ll be trained in programming codes, setting user permissions, and integrating locks with other smart home ecosystems. You’ll maintain your service vehicle with all tools, blanks, lubricants, and hardware needed for a variety of jobs. You’ll log each visit, record work done, track parts used, and issue invoices or payment receipts onsite. You’ll work independently, managing your daily route and calls through a dispatch app or company phone.

Basic Qualifications:

• Handle safes, vaults, or secure storage units, including safe cracking when legally authorized.
• Install, repair, and replace locks on doors, windows, safes, and security systems.
• Install or troubleshoot access control panels, card readers, and intercom entry systems.
• Train apprentices or junior locksmiths in proper techniques and industry ethics.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards, manufacturer guidelines, and local regulations.

Preferred:

• Knowledge of safe opening techniques, combination resets, and non-destructive entry methods.
• Familiar with pin tumbler systems, electronic locks, smart locks, and access control technologies.
• Able to install or service door closers, panic bars, master key systems, and high-security lock systems.
• Comfortable interpreting lock diagrams, manufacturer specs, or key code charts during service calls.
• Can follow blueprints, architectural drawings, or specs for large-scale keying and hardware installations.

You’ll assist in system resets, code recoveries, and lockouts caused by user error or app malfunctions.
