Description:
We’re hiring a Shoe Repair Specialist to restore high-end and designer footwear — ideal for someone who values precision, discretion, and the art of premium craftsmanship. You’ll work on popular brands like Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Vans, and Converse, restoring structure, grip, and appearance. You’ll assist in restoring fine leather, suede, patent, and exotic skins using brand-appropriate techniques and restoration products. You’ll assist in custom sole work for running shoes, walking shoes, and orthopedic models to improve balance and wear patterns. You’ll help restore torn lining, busted eyelets, broken laces, and crushed counters with durability in mind. You’ll help explain repair options to clients who may not know what’s possible, building trust through transparency and skill. You’ll assess each pair carefully, recommending repairs or alternatives based on structure, material, and cost. You’ll help organize tickets, track turnaround times, and notify clients when repairs are ready for pickup. You’ll assist with dye touch-ups, color matching, and leather blending for premium shoe restoration.
Basic Qualifications:
- Offer additional services like belt shortening, bag stitching, or leather care when appropriate.
- Stay current with new materials, footwear construction methods, and repair techniques.
- Polish, condition, and clean leather or suede shoes to improve appearance and prolong lifespan.
- Sew torn seams, reattach straps, and reinforce weak areas for long-lasting results.
- Handle high-volume or urgent repairs calmly and efficiently.
Preferred:
- Comfortable advising customers on repair options, shoe care products, and preventive maintenance.
- Able to replace or repair heels, patch holes, stretch tight shoes, and shine or polish various finishes.
- Open to experimenting with modern adhesives, repair materials, or eco-friendly solutions.
- Thrives in quiet, skill-focused environments where patience and technique make a difference.
- Skilled in using tools such as hammers, knives, sanders, sewing machines, and adhesive applicators.
Benefits:
- Mentorship and support — learn from other experienced shoe repair specialists.
- Steady work schedule — you’ll have consistent hours with minimal surprises.
- You’ll be appreciated for your work — a good repair job doesn’t go unnoticed.
- Health, dental, and retirement benefits — we value your well-being just as much as your work.
- Paid training and professional development — learn new techniques and styles to stay ahead of trends.
You’ll be expected to maintain a tidy workstation, care for your tools, and follow daily maintenance routines. You’ll interact with clients to take repair requests, explain the work process, and offer care tips for long-term shoe health. You’ll assist with urgent requests like fixing a broken heel before a meeting or prepping shoes before a special event. You’ll assist with light repairs of belts, bags, and zippers as part of premium mobile accessory care services. You’ll learn the importance of being efficient without cutting corners, especially when repairs are done in public view. You’ll be expected to work with precision and calm even under tight deadlines or high client expectations. This role is great for someone who values wearable gear and believes no favorite pair deserves the trash can. If you're ready to bring fast, honest repair to the heart of the shopping center, we’re ready to train you for the front line of craftsmanship.
