Description:
We’re looking for an Architect Trainee who’s excited to turn ideas into spaces — no experience needed, just creativity, spatial thinking, and a passion for design. You’ll work alongside architects on real projects, assisting with initial concepts, spatial layouts, and technical plans. We’ll teach you how to translate vision into visuals — from bubble diagrams to digital renders and physical models. You’ll collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to solve layout challenges and refine user flow. Expect to participate in brainstorming sessions where form, function, and sustainability come together. You’ll learn how to analyze site constraints, zoning codes, and client needs to inform better design decisions. We’ll guide you through the basics of model-making, detailing, and material selection. You’ll help prepare mood boards, material palettes, and architectural diagrams for review. You’ll also sit in on client consultations to understand how architects balance vision, budget, and regulations.
Basic Qualifications:
- Stay up-to-date on local building codes, ADA requirements, and safety standards.
- Create detailed blueprints, models, and renderings using CAD software like AutoCAD, Revit, or SketchUp.
- Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and clients throughout every phase of the project.
- Ensure architectural integrity and coherence across all project elements and disciplines.
- Translate client needs into sketches, plans, and moodboards that reflect their vision and budget.
Preferred:
- Able to participate in all design phases — from schematic to construction administration.
- Comfortable creating architectural visualizations, 3D models, and presentation boards for client review.
- Licensed or on track for architectural certification, with strong knowledge of design principles and building codes.
- Willing to lead or contribute to design reviews, client meetings, and project coordination sessions.
- Willing to take part in design competitions, exhibitions, or research-based initiatives.
Benefits:
- You’ll work on projects you’re proud to show your friends (and parents).
- Health insurance, paid leave, mental health support — architects are people too.
- We care about sustainability, material ethics, and human-centered design — not just aesthetics.
- Your drawings don’t just sit in folders — they shape how people live, work, and move.
- Weekly pin-ups, idea shares, and feedback loops that actually help, not hurt.
We’ll introduce you to architectural standards, technical detailing, and common building systems. You’ll be exposed to real client feedback and see how design adapts to fit real-world expectations. You’ll support team efforts in preparing client decks, zoning analysis, and feasibility studies. This opportunity is perfect for curious minds who want to observe, absorb, and apply architectural thinking in real-world settings. You’ll develop skills in digital visualization, presentation structure, and material selection. You’ll get hands-on experience in architecture software, workflows, and how firms collaborate on real deadlines. By the end of your traineeship, you’ll have contributed meaningfully to real architectural work and grown both creatively and technically. If you’re ready to build your future in architecture — from the ground up — we’re ready to mentor you through it.
