Description:

We’re hiring a Security System Installer Trainee who’s excited about smart homes, automation, and making technology work for safety. You don’t need experience — just a strong interest in tech, tools, and learning how modern systems connect and protect. Your first tasks will be simple: carrying equipment, organizing tools, and watching how experienced techs work on-site. You’ll assist experienced technicians on real job sites — homes, offices, shops — learning how systems are set up in different environments. We’ll show you how to handle drills, ladders, testers, and other tools with care and precision. You’ll work side by side with experienced installers who will walk you through how alarm panels, sensors, and cameras work together. You’ll also assist with connecting systems to Wi-Fi, testing zones, and making sure clients know how to use their systems. Customer interaction is part of the job — you’ll help explain systems, answer questions, and ensure installations are clean and professional. We’ll teach you to test systems, fine-tune motion detectors, and set up mobile access for customers.

Basic Qualifications:

• Climb ladders, drill holes, and mount equipment neatly and safely.
• Review blueprints or client needs to determine the best placement for devices.
• Communicate clearly with dispatch or supervisors if delays or issues arise.
• Troubleshoot issues on-site and make quick adjustments as needed.
• Stay calm and patient with clients who may not be tech-savvy.

Preferred:

• Experience installing and configuring security systems including CCTV, alarms, access control, and motion detectors.
• Background or interest in electronics, security technology, low-voltage systems, or IT networking.
• Follows safety standards, local regulations, and manufacturer specifications during all installations.
• Can assist in training clients on emergency response procedures and system features.
• Communicates clearly with customers and team leads regarding timelines, service options, or technical issues.
