Description:
We’re hiring a Dishwasher to support the food and beverage operations in our hotel — perfect for someone who takes cleanliness seriously and thrives in a team-driven, guest-focused environment. You’ll work after the restaurant closes, cleaning dishes, cookware, and prep tools from dinner service and final cleanup. You’ll help manage large volumes of items during buffet service, breakfast rush, or evening dining with precision and speed. You’ll help clean kitchen equipment, counters, shelves, and floors as part of daily closing routines. You’ll assist cooks and prep staff by keeping clean tools and containers available when needed. You’ll load and unload dish racks, storage bins, and gear before and after transport to and from the event site. You’ll monitor detergent levels, water temperature, and machine performance to keep things running efficiently. You’ll communicate clearly with chefs, servers, and stewards to prioritize items during peak hours or events. You’ll be responsible for checking that all kitchen zones are clean, dry, and ready for the next morning’s shift.
Basic Qualifications:
- Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude—even during high-pressure rushes.
- Sweep and mop floors in dishwashing and prep areas to prevent slips and maintain hygiene.
- Support cooks and kitchen staff by keeping a steady supply of clean items during busy service.
- Take out trash, recycling, and compost regularly to keep the kitchen running smoothly.
- Follow restaurant health and safety standards at all times, including wearing proper footwear.
Preferred:
- Able to maintain a steady pace during high-volume shifts and peak meal service times.
- Can manage chemical refills, dish machine upkeep, or drainage as instructed by supervisors.
- Familiar with drying, polishing, and restacking for buffet setups, events, or fine-dining service.
- Familiar with operating commercial dishwashing machines, including loading, unloading, and proper rack usage.
- Willing to follow manager instructions, complete cleaning checklists, and take initiative when tasks are low.
