Description:

We’re hiring Phlebotomist Trainees to work in pediatric care — no experience needed, just gentle hands, a calm presence, and a heart for children. Night work isn’t for everyone, but if you’re calm, focused, and prefer quieter surroundings, this could be the perfect start to your healthcare career. We’ll teach you the proper techniques step by step: vein selection, needle handling, labeling, and safety protocols. Each visit will be different — different people, lighting, room setups, and comfort levels — and we’ll show you how to adapt calmly and confidently. You’ll learn how to read lab orders, label correctly, and transport samples quickly to ensure fast processing for overnight analysis. We’ll guide you through safety protocols, how to handle pediatric tubes and needles, and how to build trust with nervous parents. Donors may be first-timers, regulars, or nervous visitors — and you’ll learn how to adapt to each interaction with professionalism and kindness. We’ll train you in infection control, time management, and what to do when things don’t go as planned — like hard-to-find veins or unexpected situations. You’ll work alongside night nurses, lab techs, and emergency staff, gaining real experience in hospital operations when the world is quiet.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Track supplies and ensure your workstation is stocked and clean.
  • Monitor patients for dizziness or fainting and respond quickly if needed.
  • Keep accurate logs of samples taken and note any complications or patient reactions.
  • Adjust techniques for patients with special needs or medical conditions.
  • Explain the process to patients and answer any questions before beginning.

Preferred:

  • Experienced in using collection systems such as vacutainers, butterflies, and syringes.
  • Thrives in structured, procedural environments where safety and consistency matter.
  • Able to calm anxious patients and explain procedures in a reassuring, professional manner.
  • Enjoys working hands-on and supporting diagnostic teams through accurate specimen collection.
  • Experience drawing blood from patients of all ages in hospital, clinic, or lab settings.

Benefits:

  • You’ll never be “just the blood person” here — we know what you bring to the table.
  • Supportive coworkers, respectful managers, and a drama-free zone (mostly).
  • Be the calm in a nervous moment — your gentle hand and kind voice matter.
  • Referral bonuses if you bring another steady-handed superstar onboard.
  • Clean, well-lit lab stations stocked with everything you need — no scavenger hunts for tubes.

Every pint collected goes directly to patients in surgery, cancer care, trauma recovery, or emergency situations — and you’ll help make that possible. You’ll grow fast — learning how to problem-solve, handle pressure, and take pride in doing essential work that’s often unseen. This job isn’t about speed — it’s about trust, gentleness, and knowing how to meet children where they are. You’ll gain independence, technical skill, and the ability to think clearly when others are asleep or overwhelmed. You’ll see how something small — one vial of blood — can help find answers, track illness, or even save a life. This isn’t just technical work — it’s human work, and how you treat people matters just as much as how well you draw. No medical background? If you’re ready to learn a skill that’s precise, personal, and always in demand — we’re ready to train you from day one. If you’re ready to turn compassion into action and learn a hands-on role that truly saves lives — we’re ready to welcome you.
