Description:

We’re welcoming a Nanny Intern who’s ready to learn how to care for children with patience, creativity, and responsibility. You’ll assist the primary caregiver in managing daily routines that vary by age — from toddler naps to school pick-ups. You’ll help with routines like morning prep, meal times, bath time, and bedtime depending on family needs and schedule. You’ll be trained to recognize children’s emotional cues, respond calmly to upset behavior, and set gentle boundaries. You’ll support the creation of a calm, positive atmosphere where children feel safe, seen, and heard. You’ll observe how to introduce tummy time, age-appropriate sensory play, and gentle verbal engagement. You’ll learn how to adapt your tone and approach to different ages — from toddlers to early school-age children. You’ll be responsible for tidying play areas, cleaning up after activities, and helping maintain an organized environment. You’ll be trained in observing signs of developmental delays or emotional distress and how to report them appropriately.

Basic Qualifications:

• Handle minor injuries, illness symptoms, or tantrums calmly and responsibly.
• Respect family boundaries while building trust and open communication with parents.
• Plan and lead age-appropriate activities that support development, creativity, and learning.
• Adapt to the needs of each child, recognizing different temperaments and learning styles.
• Assist with light household tasks related to childcare, like washing bottles or organizing toys.

Preferred:

• Capable of ensuring a safe and clean environment, both indoors and outdoors during supervision.
• Willing to accompany children to parks, libraries, playdates, or appointments safely and responsibly.
• Experience caring for infants, toddlers, or school-aged children in a home or daycare setting.
• Enjoys helping children grow, learn, and feel secure in a loving and supportive environment.
• Background or interest in early childhood education, family care, or child psychology.
