Description:

We’re seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Online Research Assistant to support our team with accurate and insightful research. You’ll conduct research across a variety of platforms, from academic databases to news sites, to gather relevant and trustworthy information. You’ll sift through articles, reports, and other resources, extracting the key insights and data points that are most valuable to our team. You’ll assist in analyzing competitors, tracking market trends, and identifying opportunities for business growth. You’ll assist with compiling reports, summaries, and presentations based on your research to help inform decision-making. You’ll assist with competitive analysis, tracking industry shifts, and finding new opportunities for growth and development. You’ll assist in gathering competitor intelligence, market trends, and customer insights to inform business strategies. You’ll help organize research findings and present them in easily digestible formats like reports and charts. You’ll use your analytical skills to identify patterns and trends that can influence strategy and business planning.

Basic Qualifications:

• Continuously refine your research skills, tools, and strategies to improve speed and accuracy over time.
• Break down complex topics into digestible summaries—bullets, tables, or visual snippets help people absorb info fast.
• Spot patterns and synthesize insights—not just copy-paste links, but connect the dots where possible.
• Track emerging trends, competitor activity, or market developments by setting up alerts, feeds, or scheduled checks.
• Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity when handling private or proprietary research tasks.

Preferred:

• Able to evaluate the reliability of websites, articles, and statistics before citing them.
• Organized in collecting, structuring, and presenting findings in a clear format.
• Comfortable verifying facts, dates, or quotes to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Can adapt research style depending on industry — e.g. tech, health, finance, education.
• Knows how to organize findings into presentations, reports, or reference documents.

You’ll help summarize research papers, articles, and other resources, highlighting the most valuable insights.
