Description:
We’re hiring a Social Worker to support families in navigating stress, conflict, and life transitions — ideal for someone who believes in healing relationships through empathy, structure, and steady guidance. You’ll engage directly with unhoused individuals in shelters, encampments, drop-in centers, or on the streets to build trust and offer support. You’ll help assess basic needs such as food, shelter, medical care, addiction treatment, and mental health support. You’ll assist in connecting people to housing programs, income support, rehabilitation, and long-term case management. You’ll assist in crisis intervention, supporting students experiencing bullying, neglect, abuse, or sudden loss. You’ll be trained to recognize warning signs of depression, anxiety, trauma, or risk behavior and take appropriate action. You’ll work with diverse populations, including youth, seniors, people with disabilities, and those facing poverty, abuse, or trauma. You’ll help clients navigate public benefits systems, legal paperwork, and identity documentation processes. You’ll help families set healthy boundaries, establish routines, and build conflict-resolution skills.
Basic Qualifications:
- Recognize signs of abuse, neglect, or exploitation and take appropriate legal steps.
- Connect individuals and families to community resources like housing, healthcare, or counseling.
- Work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Adapt quickly to new challenges, whether it’s a policy change or an urgent client crisis.
- Handle emotional stress in a healthy way and seek supervision or support when needed.
Preferred:
- Comfortable using social work software, secure databases, or case tracking tools.
- Degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or a related field with relevant field placement or internship experience.
- Familiar with coordinating with public agencies, NGOs, or case workers to ensure holistic support.
- Able to work independently or as part of an interdisciplinary team including healthcare providers, educators, and law enforcement.
- Organized with managing multiple client caseloads, deadlines, and follow-up appointments.
Benefits:
- Work with diverse populations — you’ll gain valuable experience across different communities and issues.
- Recognition — the hard work you do is seen, and we take time to appreciate your contributions.
- Access to mental health resources — we support your mental well-being to help you be there for others.
- Access to community resources — you’ll be well-equipped to help clients access the services they need.
- Competitive pay — your dedication and expertise are rewarded with a fair salary.
You’ll document all assessments, interventions, and referrals in patient records with precision and confidentiality. You’ll assist with advocacy for housing placements, emergency shelter, or transitional programs based on client readiness. You’ll lead or support group sessions, workshops, or community meetings depending on your assignment and training. You’ll receive training in de-escalation, harm reduction, and culturally competent communication with diverse populations. You’ll receive supervision, ongoing training, and opportunities for certification or advancement within the agency. You’ll receive mentorship from clinical supervisors and access to continuing education in medical social work. No formal experience required — just emotional resilience, adaptability, and the belief that every person deserves dignity and hope. No two days will be the same — and that’s why your compassion, resilience, and resourcefulness matter so much. If you’re ready to help people rebuild their lives with dignity and guidance, we’re ready to welcome you as a Social Worker.
