Description:

We’re hiring a creative and skilled Podcast Editor to join our team and help deliver engaging and polished audio content. You’ll be responsible for editing podcast episodes, ensuring clarity, balance, and overall high production standards. You’ll collaborate with podcast hosts and producers to ensure that the final product matches the desired tone and flow of each episode. You’ll clean up audio files, remove background noise, and adjust levels to ensure the best possible sound quality for each episode. You’ll work with audio editing software to clean up background noise, remove filler words, and ensure the audio is clear and crisp. You’ll manage multiple podcast episodes simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality audio content on time. You’ll help improve the overall audio production process, suggesting new techniques, tools, or workflows to increase efficiency. You’ll assist in the creation of promotional audio clips and highlights to promote podcast episodes across various platforms.

Basic Qualifications:

• Respect NDAs and privacy when working with unreleased or sensitive content.
• Meet deadlines reliably, especially for weekly or time-sensitive episodes tied to events or releases.
• Help standardize the podcast’s sound—keeping tone, volume, and pacing consistent across episodes and seasons.
• Stay aligned with the brand’s tone and editorial vision—whether it’s casual and conversational or polished and journalistic.
• Recommend music, jingles, or sound design elements when requested to elevate the brand identity.

Preferred:

• Understands audio editing fundamentals including trimming, noise reduction, and leveling.
• Able to sync multi-track recordings and balance guest and host audio levels.
• Familiar with editing different podcast formats such as interviews, solo episodes, roundtables, or storytelling.
• Thrives in remote, creative environments where collaboration and autonomy coexist.
• Able to write short show notes, timecodes, or summaries if requested.
