Description:

We’re hiring a Freelance Resume Writer who can take an ordinary work history and turn it into a powerful personal brand. You’ll work with a wide range of individuals — from tech professionals to creatives to career changers — and tailor resumes to their unique journeys. You believe every client has a story worth telling, and you know how to shape that into clean, confident bullet points. Your job is to highlight what matters, cut what doesn’t, and structure everything for impact and clarity. Your words will help clients unlock new roles, higher pay, and better confidence — and that’s powerful. You’ll work with clients via forms, messages, and occasional video calls to gather insights and shape content. You’ll help clients overcome self-doubt and learn how to see their own experience as valuable. You know when to be concise, when to elaborate, and how to position gaps or transitions honestly but positively. We’re looking for someone who can balance multiple projects while maintaining quality and consistency.

Basic Qualifications:

• Gather information through intake forms, Zoom calls, or written notes to deeply understand each client’s career story.
• Be flexible—some clients need hand-holding, others just want polish. Meet them where they are.
• Stay updated on hiring trends, resume standards, and industry-specific expectations across sectors (tech, healthcare, finance, etc.).
• Work 1:1 with clients to craft personalized, professional resumes that reflect their experience, goals, and strengths.
• Create supporting materials when needed—cover letters, LinkedIn summaries, or brief bios that align with the resume.

Preferred:

• Experience formatting resumes for both creative and corporate industries.
• Understands how to highlight achievements, skills, and measurable results.
• Strong writing and editing skills with attention to clarity, grammar, and tone.
• Keeps up with hiring trends, resume best practices, and evolving job market needs.
• Experience creating or refining resumes across various industries and job levels.
