Description:

We’re hiring a CNC Machine Operator Trainee — no prior experience required, just a serious attitude, steady hands, and the willingness to learn the right way from day one. You don’t need prior experience — just a strong work ethic, mechanical curiosity, and the discipline to work carefully without constant supervision. You’ll read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and job orders to program the machine accordingly. You’ll learn how to prepare the machine for production: zeroing axes, setting work offsets, loading tool libraries, and confirming safety protocols step by step. You’ll learn the differences in cutting speeds, coolant flow, and insert selection when machining something that fights back with every revolution. You’ll be taught how to listen to the machine, feel vibration through the handles, and know the early signs of tool failure before it ruins the part. You’ll learn how to read digital readouts, make minor offset adjustments, and stop the machine when something doesn’t sound right. You’ll clean and maintain your machine daily — because uptime starts with proper care and attention. You’ll be trained to understand chip behavior, how to avoid work hardening, and when to stop, adjust, and recalibrate before making it worse.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Log production data, machine hours, and quality results in shop records or manufacturing systems for traceability.
  • Load raw materials into machines, install tooling, and run test cycles to ensure machines are properly calibrated before full production.
  • Identify and flag non-conforming parts for rework or scrap, following proper procedures and documentation protocols.
  • Ensure proper labeling, packaging, and transfer of completed parts to the next stage of production or quality control.
  • Support continuous improvement by offering ideas for tooling, process flow, or cycle time reductions.

Preferred:

  • Willing to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and workplace protocols strictly.
  • Can adjust feed rates, spindle speeds, or tool paths to improve part quality or reduce cycle time.
  • Organized in managing job orders, material inventory, and scrap tracking.
  • Comfortable reporting production issues, defects, or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
  • Thrives in hands-on, production-oriented environments with clear goals and teamwork.

Benefits:

  • No toxic culture, just solid people who know their craft.
  • Get paid weekly (yes, really) — because bills don’t wait till the 30th.
  • Flexible shifts depending on your life outside work.
  • Clear path to senior operator roles — no dead ends here.
  • Modern, clean shop floor — no horror-movie basements here.

You’ll learn the value of uptime, the cost of bad offsets, and how even small mistakes in automation can multiply fast if not caught early. You’ll follow a routine that rewards consistency, patience, and staying one step ahead of the process. You’ll learn new materials, tool types, and cutting techniques as we evolve our processes and expand our capabilities. You’ll track part history, update digital logs, and learn how data drives decisions on the modern floor — not just gut feeling. You’ll learn not just how to operate — but how to think like a machinist: deliberate, alert, always verifying before trusting. You’ll operate with consistency, focus, and a respect for craftsmanship that goes beyond just pressing "start. You’ll finish this internship with real hands-on skill, industry vocabulary, and a clear sense of whether this path is truly yours. If you’re ready to treat metal like it matters — and build skill where shortcuts don’t exist — we’re ready to invest in your future. ” If you value quiet focus, technical skill, and the satisfaction of solo work done well — we’re ready to train you after dark.
