We’re hiring a Copywriter / Content Trainee to work alongside AI tools like ChatGPT and Notion AI — no experience needed, just critical thinking, editing skills, and curiosity about smart content workflows. You’ll assist in researching topics, interviewing real people, and turning facts, quotes, and moments into written pieces that inform and resonate. We’ll teach you how to structure headlines, leads, and story arcs that grab attention and keep people reading. You’ll work closely with designers, product managers, and developers to craft clear, intentional text across interfaces. Expect to help with field notes, email interviews, transcription, and shaping human voices into readable, respectful narratives. We’ll guide you on how to separate fact from opinion, check sources, and avoid assumptions — the foundations of ethical reporting. We’ll guide you in using AI as a creative partner — not a shortcut — and teach you how to preserve quality while speeding up production. Some days you’ll cover real-time updates, other days you’ll chase slower stories that take time to unfold — both matter. We’ll show you how to edit for balance, tone, flow, and how to cut fluff while keeping the core human.

Basic Qualifications:

• Collaborate with editors, designers, and marketers to align content with visual and strategic goals.
• Turn complex subjects into content that feels accessible, interesting, and human.
• Balance creative freedom with messaging goals, timelines, and legal requirements.
• Conduct interviews or gather quotes from experts, stakeholders, or people on the ground.
• Write headlines, subject lines, and social copy that grab attention without being clickbait.

Preferred:

• Wants to grow into roles like Senior Copywriter, Content Editor, or Investigative Journalist.
• Pays attention to clarity, structure, grammar, and overall readability.
• Knows how to write calls to action, summaries, and structured intros that hook readers.
• Experienced in using content management systems (CMS) like WordPress, Ghost, or Webflow.
• Comfortable pitching story ideas, collaborating with editors, and responding to revisions.
