Description:

We’re looking for a Musician / Composer Trainee with a deep love for sound and a desire to learn how to bring ideas to life through music. No studio credits needed — just creativity, discipline, and an open mind for feedback and experimentation. We’ll help you understand the basics of musical structure, mood building, and thematic development. We’ll guide you through the process of scoring scenes, writing loops, and arranging music for various emotional beats. Expect to work closely with sound designers, producers, and video editors to align audio with visuals. You’ll sit in on sound reviews, understand client briefs, and adapt music to fit different tones and timings. We’ll guide you in writing musical themes, experimenting with harmonies, and balancing instrumentation. You’ll assist in organizing sessions, tracking versions, and exporting clean audio for different platforms. You’ll learn how to organize stems, version files properly, and deliver tracks that are easy to work with downstream.

Basic Qualifications:

• Use music software like Logic Pro, Ableton, FL Studio, or Sibelius confidently.
• Balance artistic vision with practical needs—loopable cues, short stingers, full scores.
• Stay up to date with trends in sound design, scoring, and audio tech.
• Compose original music tailored to various formats—film, games, ads, or live performances.
• Experiment with styles, genres, and tools to keep your sound evolving and fresh.

Preferred:

• Organized with project files, track stems, and version control during the composition process.
• Proficient in playing one or more instruments and/or using digital composition tools like Logic Pro, Ableton Live, FL Studio, or Sibelius.
• Enjoys experimenting with harmony, melody, and rhythm to shape unique musical identities.
• Able to layer sounds, design textures, or experiment with unconventional instruments or samples.
• Willing to maintain a catalog of royalty-free or client-owned work for reuse and pitching.
